Player Development Cycle (Our philosophy)
Player Development Below represents MPSA's overall vision of what player development means - the qualities that we hope to encourage and support from U9 to uU9 - Call it the vision of an ideal MPSA player, a player who demonstrates continual focus on the improvement of the following:
Individual skills Soccer intelligence Ability to focus and learn Independence (problem solving) Confidence (problem solving) Courage (risk taking) Adventure (risk taking) Freedom (creativity) Responsibility Commitment Community
Playing Time Playing time will be based on attendance, attitude, and ability Attendance expectations: once per week minimum; if you cannot make a certain practice, there is the option of training with another team that week to make up for missing your regularly scheduled practice session

Positions Positions will be decided by head coach, based on team needs and individual needs
Parents Support all team members, game officials, coaches and trainers Participate in player evaluation and goal setting sessions (development teams ages 6 to 14 only)
